Disaster Zone

DISASTER ZONE

The waterbed was frozen our love was on the rocks
I turned on the electric blanket and got quite a shock
Now my eyes are curly and my hair is blue
Why don't you use me like you love to do?

I said, "Don't slam the screen door" but you had to plow on through
If you come back and walk out again I'll open the door for you.

Too lazy to lift an eyelid or even answer the phone
The president might call this place a disaster zone
My good friend the dust ball put on his boogie shoes
Even the Velveeta Cheese is fuzzy with the blues

I said, "Don't slam the screen door" but you had to plow on through
If you come back and walk out again I'll open the door for you.

My heart isn't hardened just a little petrified
Like an ancient sharks tooth darkened by a billion tides
The sky was hailing taxis my heart was hailing too
A shattered shark tooth bit off more than it could chew

I said, "Don't slam the screen door" but you had to plow on through
If you come back and walk out again I'll open the door for you.
