When Mother Earth Cracks a Smile

When Mother Earth cracks a smile
It opens up new ground
So you better watch your step
Where ever faults are found
When Mother Earth blows her top
And lofty peaks explode
All hell may break loose
In a volcanic episode

Sure she has her tidal waves
Volcanic ash and hail
But her face is like pure heaven
And could launch a thousand sails
I'd have to say she's a seven
On the Richter Scale

When Mother Earth gets all shook up
And seems to misbehave
Sometimes from half a world away
There comes a tidal wave
When Mother Earth breaks the ice
And you’re in a little ship
Watch out for the icebergs
It just might be the tip

Sure she has her tidal waves
Volcanic ash and hail...

When Mother Earth warms up
Be careful of your advance
If it wasn't for the Grand Teton
There would be no avalanche
When Mother Earth lifts you up
You thank God you’re alive
Unless of course it’s a hurricane
— A category five

Sure she has her tidal waves
Volcanic ash and hail...
