Battlefield of My Body

A company of Potato chip soldiers

March down the streets of my throat
They leave the marble statues of teeth to rot
While the cookie castles crumble in the moat

In the Battlefield of my body
I'm constantly at war
I've got my marching orders
To eat apples to the core

An offensive of submarine sandwiches
Is causing my stomach to enlarge
There'll be no need for Life Savers
After launching an anti-acid depth charge

In the Battlefield of my body
I'm constantly at war...

An incursion of the cigarette Air Force
Is blowing smoke rings into my lungs
Meanwhile young smokers are being recruited
With "Cancer" on the tip of their tongues

In the Battlefield of my body
I'm constantly at war...

The ingredients listed on this candy bar
Reveal that chemical warfare is back
No purple hearts will be issued
For food poisoning and massive Heart Attacks

A trial balloon sent up by some world leaders
Signals it may be time for peace to come
Meanwhile nerves are shattered
By the constant popping of bubblegum
